She was born July 3, 1887, at Beattie and lived at Alma for several years before moving to Topeka in 1946. Her husband, William A. Kietzman, died March 4, 1965. She also was preceded in death by two children. She is survived by six daughters, two sons, three sisters, two brothers, 30 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren.1 | |

Kietzmann's lawn last Sunday in honor of Misses Minnie and Sadie McDiffett, of Connelsville, Pa. who have been spending their summer vacation here. Mr. and Mrs. W.F. McDiffett and children and twenty-two grand-children partook of the sumptuous dinner which was served at 12:30 o'clock from the well-filled baskets brought by the children. The afternoon was spent in pitching horse shoes and in conversation, and at the hour previous to parting, ice cream and cake was served, and everybody ate to their hearts content. At a late hour everybody departed, feeling that a very pleasant day had been spent, and hoping that the Misses McDiffets of Pennsylvania would spend many more such summer vacations here. -- Lived at 200 Lake in Topeka in 1963. Topeka Capital 5 Mar 1965 WILLIAM KIETZMAN Services were held Saturday for William A. Kietzman, 79, 200 Lake, Topeka, who died Thursday at a Topeka hospital. He was born October 20, 1885 at Alta Vista, lived in Alma a good many years, and had lived in Topeka since 1946. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a retired construction worker. He was married to Anna McDiffitt, September 14, 1911. A daughter, Mrs. Hazel Eagan, died in January 1964 and a daughter, Dorothy, died in infancy. Survivors include his wife, Anna at home; two sons, Howard Kietzman, Kansas City, Missouri, and Lester Kietzman, Mission; six daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Berroth and Mrs. Lois Hermann, Topeka; Mrs. Alverta Parker, Miami, Florida; Mrs. Georgia Guilfoil, Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Hugh Waple, Manassas, Virginia, and Mrs. Pat Dunn, Denver, Colorado; three brothers, Reinhold Kietzman, Houston, Texas; Charles Kietzman, Dewey Oklahoma, and Emil Kietzman, Topeka; four sisters, Agnes Kietzman and Mrs. Pauline Dittman, both of Topeka; Mrs. Esther Hutchinson, East Pharsalia, New York; and Mrs. Emelie Mayer, Alta Vista; 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Kietzman will lie in state until service time at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary.1 |
