Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newbury near Paxico. She was born July 30, 1938, in McFarland, to Joseph and Eunice Hasting Michaelis. She attended McFarland Grade School and Alma High School. She graduated from Paxico High School in 1956. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newbury and the Altar Sodality at the church. She married Merle R. Glotzbach on June 9, 1956, in Alma. They lived near Paxico for many years. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Merle R. Glotzbach, Paxico; six daughters, Cheryl Failer, Jeanette Lowe, Julie Tooley and Christy Tyler, all in Paxico, and Debbie Van Cleave and Leslie Wines, both in Eskridge; four brothers, Frank Michaelis, Santa Clarita, Calif., Ed Michaelis, Liberty, Mo., Wilfred Michaelis, McFarland, and Rick Michaelis, Alma; four sisters, Mary Ellen Fulmer, Independence, Mo., Juanita Coon and Carol Sue Gasperich, both in McFarland, and Virginia Glotzbach, Paxico; and 21 grandchildren. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Newbury. Mrs. Glotzbach will lie in state from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. R.J. Evans-Gentry Funeral Home in Alma is in charge of arrangements. 2 |
