Mrs. Jennie Ramsey, 95, mother of the late W. R. Ramsey, president of the Ramsey Oil Co. and builder of the Ramsey Tower, now the Liberty National Bank building, died Friday morning in a local rest home.

She was born at Warrenburg, Mo., and came to Oklahoma with her family at the age of 15. Much of her life was spent at Ardmore. She came to Oklahoma City in 1903 to make her home with her son. Her husband, James Manley Ramsey, died in 1911.

Since the death of her son, Mrs. Ramsey had lived with her grandson, Charles E. Ramsey, 406 NW 36, president of the Ramsey Oil Co. She was one of the oldest members of the Eastern Star and was a member of St. Luke's Methodist church.

Survivors are five grandchildren, Arthur B. Ramsey, 1706 Wilshire, W.E. Ramsey, Jr. and Sigrid Ramsey, both of Los Angeles, Mrs. Nelson Clabaugh, 9900 NW 39, and Charles Ramsey.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hahn-Cook funeral home, with burial at Fairlawn cemetary.3
